Run Digital tackles Grey Cup with HP Scitex XP5100
With the installation of the HP Scitex XP5100, Run Digital is able to tackle big projects like the 97th Grey Cup game that took place in Calgary.
“The HP Scitex XP5100 gives us the capability and the confidence to serve new and different customers, “ said Sal Di Franco, vice-president of finance at Run Digital. “It’s speed, quality and price-performance are very impressive. It provides us with a huge competitive advantage.”
The full-service digital printing company, based in Calgary, was selected to produce banners and signage for McMahon stadium and the fan festival in the city, a month after the HP Scitex XP5100 was put in place at its 12,000 square-foot facility.
“The Grey Cup provided us with a real sense of what the HP Scitex XP5100 could do,” Di Franco added. “We knew this printer would be a workhorse. The more work you give it, the more it likes it.”
Run Digital specializes in wide-format digital printing, offering an extensive range of services, including banners, posters, billboards, building wraps, vehicle graphics and wallscapes, as well as point-of-sale materials and transit advertising.
Di Franco said the HP Scitex XP5100 has the reliability and flexibility Run Digital needs to deliver projects on-demand in small- and large-volumes for its diverse client base.
“This is definitely a very quick machine,” he said. “The UV ink technology also makes it easier to use than other printers. We liked the HP Scitex XP5100 the first time we saw it.”
